Peter Meyerhoff, PhD

CEO

Peter is a learning scientist and entrepreneur focused on changing how students experience mathematics. As co-founder and CEO of 10story Learning, he develops hands-on, collaborative math labs that make problem-solving tangible, social, and deeply engaging for students and teachers alike. His work bridges research and practice, drawing on learning sciences to create classroom experiences that cultivate curiosity, collaboration, and confidence in math. Previously, Peter led product development at a major educational publisher and started successful companies in marketing and advertising. He holds a PhD in Learning Sciences from Northwestern University, where he teaches in the School of Education and Social Policy.

Jenny is an educator and author with deep expertise in project-based learning, creative collaboration, and hands-on approaches to teaching. Before becoming a children's author, Jenny taught elementary school and served as a district coordinator for Destination Imagination, where she helped teachers and students develop innovative, team-based problem-solving projects. As the author of 13 books for children and young adults, including The Friendship Garden series (Simon & Schuster), Playing Cupid (Scholastic), Queen of Secrets (Farrar, Straus & Giroux), and Sami's Sleepaway Summer (Scholastic), Jenny brings the power of story to every learning experience she designs—making math and science as engaging and imaginative as the best fiction. She holds a master's degree in Education from Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree in English Literature and Psychology from the University of Michigan.

Howie is a veteran educator and expert in hands-on, project-based approaches to teaching complex math concepts. A finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (2018), Howie spent 12 years teaching elementary school in the Chicago area, where he became known for making challenging math ideas tangible, visual, and engaging for students. Throughout his teaching career, he served as a math and science specialist and led professional development workshops for fellow educators. In recognition of his excellence in teaching, Howie received the Golden Apple Award in 2011. He holds a master's degree in Instructional Leadership from Argosy University and a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University.
